David Fitzke

McDONALD David E. Fitzke, 53, a resident of McDonald, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 12, 2013.David was born in Portsmouth, Va., on Feb. 9, 1960 a son of Jerry Fitzke and Joyce Fitzke Putnam. He was a very active member of Apison United Methodist Church where he sang in the church choir and served on numerous boards and committees. David also had served for many years on the Hamilton YMCA Board where he met and married the love of his life Karen. David enjoyed classical music, black & white movies, trains and various sports. Above all David enjoyed being a father and family man to his wife and two children.David leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 19 years, Karen Nicholson Fitzke; one daughter, Ilona Fitzke; one son, Saul Fitzke; his mother and stepfather, Joyce and Charles Putnam; father, Jerry Fitzke; two brothers, Gary (Kathy) Fitzke, of Kansas and Alan (Laura) Fitzke, of East Ridge. He is also survived by numerous extended family, friends and church family.The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Apison United Methodist Church located 4404 Bill Jones Road in Apison, Tenn., from noon until 2 p.m. at which time a memorial service will follow with the Rev. Debbie Stokes and the Rev.
