Mildred Hamby

Mildred Irene Hamby, 87, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at her home.Mrs. Hamby was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Albert Hamby; daughter Shirley Williams and several brothers and sisters.Survivors include her sons, Robert (Betty) Hamby, of Palm Coast, Fla., Bill (Geneva) Hamby, of Soddy-Daisy and Steve Hamby, of Graysville, Tenn.; daughter, Pat (Spencer) Jewell, of Soddy-Daisy; brother, J.C. Smith, of Florida; sister, Bobbie Woody, of Hixson; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Alan Rogers and the Rev. and Honorable Clarence Shattuck officiating.Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
