Jean Poe

Jean B. Poe, 101, died on Monday, June 24, 2013, at her residence.She was a descendant of one of the early settlers in Hamilton County.Jean was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga. She attended Milligan College, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and obtained her medical record science degree at Emory University in Atlanta. Jean was employed for many years with area hospitals and nursing homes in their medical records department in Chattanooga.Survivors include several nieces and nephews and foster child.Funeral services will be held noon today, June 28, 2013, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Lee, officiating.The entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort to the family.The family wishes to give a special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga.The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until noon today at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road.
