CLEVELAND Leslie Ross Cox, 70, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in Fort Pierce, Fla.Les was born on June 13, 1942 to Eugene and Violet Cox. He was born in Athens, Tenn., and resided in Port St. Lucie, Fla., as well as in Cleveland, Tenn. He received his B.S. in History with a minor in English from Bryan College in 1964 and continued his education by obtaining his Masters in Education from Middle Tennessee State in 1968. Les was an educator in Tennessee for 31 years.He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 48 years, Beth; one daughter, Janelle Beane (Jonathan), of Greenville, Miss., one son, Jeremy Cox (Lee Ann), of Nashville; sister, Ellen Conrad, of Athens, Tenn.; and two grandchildren Anna Kate and Knox Porter Beane.The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tenn., from 2-4 p.m. today, March 10, 2013.
