Connie Lowery

Connie Sue Lee "Nana" Lowery, 64, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas and was a member of Lighthouse of the Word Church. She was previously employed with the Catoosa County School System as a Bus Driver for more than 34 years and was also the director of Fort Lake Child Development for more than 14 years. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and being active in Ladies Ministry Outings. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Madison and Virginia Ruth Lee. Survivors include her loving husband of more than 45 years, Mike Lowery; three sons and daughter-in-law, Craig (Kristy) Lowery, Brent Lowery and Adam Lowery, all of Rossville; brother, Bud Lee, of Rossville; two sisters, Donna Pack, of East Ridge, and Janet Brogdon, of Soddy-Daisy; four grandchildren, Brittany, Megan, Erin and Hunter Lowery; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at, 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Mike Lowery, Rev. Ron Thompson, Rev. Jim Martin and Rev. Randy Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. The family will begin receiving friends after 4 p.m. today, all day Friday and prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
