Donaline Pearson

Donaline "Donna" Pearson, 86, of Hixson passed away on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, surrounded by her family. Donaline was born in Hillsboro, Tenn., and graduated from Coffee County High School in Manchester, Tenn., where she played and loved basketball.She was retired from DuPont and was an avid Tennessee Volunteers football and Lady Vols basketball fan.She is preceded in death by her parents; four siblings; her husband of 50 years, John W. Pearson Sr.; her granddaughter, Kim Pearson Hawthorne; and her grandson Chad Thurman.Donaline is survived by her children, John W. Pearson Jr. (Sandi), Jo Nell Thurman (Jim) and Mike Pearson (Liz); her grandchildren, Jeff Thurman (Stephanie), Jennifer Watson (Curt), Natalie Underwood (Ben), and Jerry M. Pearson Jr. (Amie); her great grandchildren, Luke Underwood, Olivia Underwood, Justin Watson, Aaron Watson, Reece Watson, and Avery Watson; brother, Bill Bishop, along with several nieces and nephews, and her best friend Linda Graham.A special thanks from the family to all her caregivers especially Shena, Beth and Rashonda. The family will receive friends at the Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today.The funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel immediately following the visitation at 2:30 p.m. and will be officiated by the Rev. Greg Pearson and the Rev.
