RISING FAWN Mary Joe Hawes, 69, passed away Saturday Oct. 26, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of Dade County, she owned and operated Jody's Pet & Groom Shop in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., before retiring. She enjoyed arts, crafts and pottery. She was preceded in death by her son Larry Abbott.She is survived by her son Michael Abbott; parents Charles and Elizabeth Gwinn; brother Charles (Slugger) and wife Dianne Guinn; 3 grand children Thomas and wife Keesha Abbott, Kayla Abbott and Corbin Abbott, all of Rising Fawn.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home.
