Nathan Crowley

SEQUATCHIE Nathan Edward Crowley, 84, of Hardin, Ky., formerly of Sequatchie, Tenn., passed away Wednesday morning, Sept. 11, 2013, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Ky.He was born in Fayetteville, Tenn., on Sept. 5, 1929. He went to work on the river in 1944 and retired after 48 years. He was a Korean War Vet and attended Olive Baptist Church in Hardin, Ky.He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Crowley, Viola S. Cross; and one brother, Billy Gene Crowley. Nathan is survived by his wife of almost 54 years, Betty Jo Crowley; his daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Danny Kincannon, of Hardin, Ky.; one granddaughter, Christie Hawks, of Hardin; two grandsons, Craig Edmonds, of Benton, Ky., and Kyle McElhaney, of Hardin, Ky.; two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter; one brother, H.J. Crowley, of Ledbetter, Ky.; two nieces and three nephews.Services will be held at noon CDT on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, in the funeral chapel at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper with Ronnie Case officiating.Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. CDT today, Sept. 13, 2013, and from 9 a.m. CDT until time of the service on Saturday.To send online condolences visit www.tatefh.comArrangements by Tate Funeral Home, Jasper, Tenn, 423-942-9500.
