Betty Fugatt

Betty Smith Fugatt, 75, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013.Mrs. Fugatt was born in Stevenson, Ala., to James and Geneva Smith. She retired as a secretary from Precision Wire and Engineering, attended Red Bank United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Red Bank High School.Surviving are her husband of 52 years, John Fugatt; sons, Troy (Cindy) Fugatt and Ben (Meg) Fugatt; grandchildren, Tristan, Taryn, Lexi, Beau and Will Fugatt; and great-granddaughters, Avonlea and Anniston; mother, Geneva Smith; brothers, Paul and Jack Smith; sisters, Rebecca Lankford, Mary Tygielski and Linda Lumpkin; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father, James Smith and brother, Jimmy Smith.There will not be any visitation at the funeral home.Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev.
