Janice Poteet

ROSSVILLE Janice Cannon Poteet, 69, departed this life Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013.She was born in Chattanooga to the late J.B. and Janet Cannon and she was of the Baptist faith.She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tonja Pena; and her husband, James Leon "Hoot" Poteet.Survivors include her daughter, Crystal (Cotton) Johnson, Elizabeth "Liz" Jackson, all of Rossville; grandchildren, Ruben (Brenda) Satterfield, Mandeline Murphy-Higdon, Alexis (Tony) Styles; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, in the chapel with Michael Jackson officiating. Interment will follow Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.Family will receive friends from 10 until 9 p.m. today and all day Friday at the funeral home.Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
