Sara Guthrie

CHICKAMAUGA Sara Ruth Harris Guthrie, 69, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and was of the Baptist Faith. She retired from the Roper Corporation in 1992 after 15 years, and was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, who will be greatly missed. Sara was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth Harris; children, Shelia and Raymond Lee Guthrie; sister, Mary Ann Shirley; and brothers, Arnold, Charles, and Ronald Harris. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Guthrie; sons, Michael Wayne Guthrie and Tracy Guthrie; brothers, John Harris and Frank Harris; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
