Bernice Defriese

Bernice Lorena Stoner DeFriese, 90, departed this life for her home in Heaven on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, after a long illness. Affectionately known to many as "Bunny", she lived in Chattanooga all her life and was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church on Bonny Oaks Drive. She was predeceased by her husband, Grover DeFriese; and by parents Marvin and Beulah Stoner. She is survived by her nephew and niece, Larry and Doris Russell; niece, Linda Eggleston; sister-in-law, Agnes Roark; as well as several grandnephews and nieces. The Rev. Ken Clark of Oakwood Baptist Church will conduct a graveside service at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Hamilton Memorial Gardens Interment will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens on Highway 153.
