Linda Samples

LaFAYETTE Linda Lou Sweat Samples, 65, died Friday, May 2, 2014. Preceded in death by her husband, Fred Samples; parents, John and Pauline Sweat; and brother, Paul Wayne Sweat. Survived by daughter, Melinda (Stacy) Posey, of Indiana; sons, Wayne (Sandy Gilbreath) Samples, and John (Amanda) Samples, all of LaFayette; sisters, Martha Wooten, of Chickamauga, and Patsy (Fuzzy) Alexander, of LaFayette; brother, Ralph (Pat) Sweat of Waterford, Mich.; grandchildren, Call Posey, Lane Posey, Levi Posey, Brooke Samples, Lauren Samples, Jaylee Samples, Callie Samples and Cory Woodard; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Tony Samples and Rev. Tommy Pettyjohn officiating. Pallbearers are Justin Baker, Cody West, Rusty Alexander, Drennon Alexander, Call Posey and Jase Alexander. Honorary pallbearers are Steven Motley, Cory Woodard and Jimmy Crowe. Interment: LaFayette Memory Gardens. Visitation at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. today. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
