Louise Shirley

Louise Glover Shirley, 94, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014, at her residence. A native of Chattanooga, she has lived in the Ringgold area for the past 76 years. Louise was a member of Boynton Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Shirley Sr.; parents, Frank and Minnie Lowe Glover; sisters, Bertie Johns, Frankie Wilson, Effie Merritt, Evalee Hixson and Ada Walters; and three brothers, Wallace, Ovitt and Brad Glover. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Sheila Shirley, of Chickamauga, Ga., and Tommy and Pat Shirley, of East Brainerd, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Juli Lewis, Eric Shirley, Chad Shirley, Todd Walker and Robert Owens; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Monday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South, with Dr. Keith McLeod officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Boynton Baptist Church or to the Chattanooga Food Bank.
