Edna Thrash

Edna Thrash Mary Edna Thrash 98, Ringgold entered Heaven's glory Saturday May 17, 2014. Edna has been a devoted and active member of the Burning Bush Baptist Church for 64 years. She was a member of the Celebration and Primetime Choirs, The Young at Heart, Christine Garnet Missions group and Joyful Sunday School Class. Mrs. Thrash was preceded in death by her parents Augustus and Eula Chandler, sister Hazel Christie and brothers Leo Chandler, Sr., Doyle Chandler and Monroe Chandler. Survivors include her loving husband Willard "Buddy" Thrash, of 76 years. Son Willard (Patricia) Thrash; grandson, Willard Thrash III and wife Jill; Great-grandson, Henry Thrash. Great-granddaughter, Adrianne Cooper and husband, Josh, of Maryland; Great-great grandsons, Jaxson and Knox Cooper. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Burning Bush Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis McNaulty, Colin Crosen and the Rev. Pat Davis officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment in the Tennessee- Georgia Memorial Park The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
