Kenneth "Ken" Leon Brumlow went home to be with our lord and savior on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 in a local hospital surrounded by loves ones.Mr. Brumlow was born Feb. 20, 1949 to the late Mr. and Mrs. James A. Brumlow. Ken was a graduate of Brainerd High School class of 1966 where he was an outstanding baseball player. Mr. Brumlow served his country honorably from 1970-1972 reaching the rank of Sergeant and was honorably discharged. He then went on to work in the trucking industry for Chattanooga Coca-Cola where he retired in 2012 after 34 years of employment.He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Velma Sue Brumlow who passed Dec. 23, 2007, His father, James A. Brumlow; his mother, Ruth W. Brumlow; his brother, Wayne Brumlow, and his sister, Diane Gates.Survivors include his son Michael and LaChon Brumlow, of Hixson; his daughter, Deborah and David Brumlow- Graves, of Rossville; four grandchildren, Brandon Tyler Daigle, Aaron Blake Daigle, Kenneth Ashton Daigle, Sean Brumlow; and one great-granddaughter, Baylee Jean Brumlow; his brother, James (Jim) Brumlow, of Ringgold, Ga.; his sister, Doris and Earl Russell, of Tunnel Hill, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Chattanooga Funeral Home Valley View Chapel with Steve Huff and Lillard Stringer officiating. The burial will be at Lee Cemetery in McDonald, Tenn., where he will be laid to rest by our loving mother and devoted wife, Velma S. Brumlow.The family will receive friends from 48 p.m. today and Thursday at the funeral home.Mike Brumlow, David Graves, Dewayne Gates, Greg Gates, Ernie Roberson and James Hudson will serve as pallbearers. Brandon Tyler Daigle and Aaron Blake Daigle will serve as honorary pallbearers for their paw paw.Deborah Brumlow-Graves & Michael Brumlow would like to extend our appreciation to everyone for their love, prayers, and support.
