Cheryl A. Bold Johnson, 58, of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn.,, passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012.Cheryl was born Aug. 19, 1954 in Decatur, Ill., daughter of Mary "Eleine" Hathaway and Robert W. Bold. She married Terry L. Johnson in 1973. Cheryl graduated from Stephen Decatur High School, Decatur, Illinois in 1972. She worked as a legal Secretary for Burger, Fombelle & Wheeler upon graduation. She worked as a secretary at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Decatur, Ill. Cheryl moved with her family from Decatur in 1986 to Crewe, Va., due to her husbands job. Her husbands job took her to Frankfort, Ind., where she worked as a Legal Assistant for Power & Little Law Firm and where her children grew up and participated in school activities, band and baseball with fond memories.She later moved to Knoxville, Tenn., and worked as a Legal Secretary for Hurley, Sharp & Attanasio and later moved to Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., where she worked as a Legal Assistant for Clements & McGuffey in Chattanooga, Tenn. She worked for a short time in Cincinnati, Oh., for Croswell & Adams. Cheryl moved back to Decatur, Ill., from 2005-2010 and again to Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., in 2010 where her husband was transferred to Chattanooga, Tenn., due to his employment.Cheryl and her husband, Terry, had two sons, Terry L. Johnson, II, Pharm.D., and Randall "Randy" L. Johnson. They were the love of her life. She was blessed with nine grandchildren, Skyler, Raelyn, McKenzie, Taylor, Courtney, Drew, Eli, Brodie and Addie. Cheryl attended the Seventh-day Adventist Church and did a lot of the churches Bible studies. Cheryl loved her work in the law and the people she worked with. She loved spending time with her family, swimming, reading, get togethers with her family members throughout her life. Cheryl loved the "simple life".She was preceded in death by her father, Robert W. Bold; brother, Richard D. "Rick" Hathaway; grandparents, Relis and Ruby Oldfield and Howard and Naomi Bold; best friend, Mickey (Tubb) Jones.Survivors include her husband, Terry; two sons, Terry L. (Erin) Johnson, II, Pharm.D., and Randall "Randy" L. (Keira) Johnson; nine grandchildren, mother and step-father, Mary "Eleine" and Dwight Hathaway; sisters, Debra "Debbie" Runyan, Knoxville, Tenn., Karen Flaugher, Mt. Zion, Ill., and Lesley Loehr, Decatur, Ill.; half brothers and sisters, Jamie Lynn (Bold) Dixon, Teresa Ann (Bold) Baker, Matthew William Bold and Nicole (Nikki) Marie Bold; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Tapscott, Dawn Shade, Michael Runyan, Lindsay Stovall, Derek Flaugher, Karmen and Kooper Loehr; great-nieces and nephews, Halle, Will, Whitney, Chloe and Jack. The family would like to extend a personal thank you to Dr. Carlos Fior, Decatur, IL and Dr. Victor Kolade, Chattanooga, TN. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association at lung.org.
