DUNLAP Leon Stewart, 87, a life long resident of Sequatchie County, died Saturday night, Feb. 4, 2012. He was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church for over 70 years. He served in the United States Navy during World War II.He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Stewart; two sons, Joseph and Randy Stewart; parents, Hugh and Winnie Stewart; two sisters, Adeline Rodriguez and Evelyn Kyle; brother, Joe Stewart.He is survived by a son, Jamie (Charlotte) Stewart, Signal Mountain; grandson, Shaun (Jennifer) Stewart; great-grandchildren, Desirae, Jarrett and Skyler Stewart and Jayde Durham; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to Michelle Camp and the employees of NHC Heath Care Center in Dunlap.Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. CST Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Tucker and the Rev. Terry Barker officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
