TUNNEL HILL Linda Gay Palmer Phillips, 65, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013.She was born in Flintstone, Ga., to the late James Matthew and Pernia Mae Flenor Palmer. She had resided most of her life in Flintstone, and for the past 29 years in Tunnel Hill. She was a former waitress and cashier at Cochran's Truck Stop in Ringgold, Ga. She enjoyed reading, collecting dolls, crafts and especially pigs. She was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Tunnel Hill, and a former member of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church. She was a member of The Eastern Star in Tunnel Hill and Ringgold.Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Howard McIntosh Jr.; stepson, Thomas Richard Phillips; an infant sister and sister, Marie Gilreath.She is survived by her husband, James "J.W." Phillips, of Tunnel Hill; their children, Stacy McIntosh, of Kingsport, Tenn., Crystal Michelle Broome, of Ringgold, Ga., James Charles Phillip, of Varnell, Ga., Michael Phillips, of Lakeland, Fla., Eunice Smith, of Kingsport, Tenn.; four sisters; six brothers; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today and Saturday morning prior to the service.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013 in the chapel with Rev. Hugh Burdett officiating.Burial will follow in United Memorial Gardens, Dalton, Ga.Online register book at by Wilson Funeral Homes, Chickamauga Chapel, Chickamauga, Ga.
