Carl Ferrell

George Carl Ferrell, 84, of Red Bank, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at his home. He was born in Murfreesboro, Tenn., on May 26, 1929 to William and Bernice Ferrell. He was employed at American Lava, 3M and GE for 36 years and retired from there. Carl was an active member of Red Bank United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed volunteering with the Thursday Mens Group and member of the Shaw Murray Sunday School Class until poor health nine years ago. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, William Dee Ferrell and Alton Don Ferrell. Carl is survived by his wife, Sue Stubblefield Ferrell; two sons, Richard William (Mary Lynn) Ferrell and John Daniel (Deloris) Ferrell; four grandchildren, Chris, Daniel and Kelly Ferrell and Ashley Ferrell (Brian) Williams; three great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 2 p.m. today in the chapel with Rev. Jeff Lambert officiating. Visitation will follow the service and there will be a private burial.
