Betty Geraldine Maddox passed from this life Friday, Feb. 1, 2013. She was the daughter of John Eugene Smith and Edna Marie (Frigm) Smith of Red Lion Penn. She was born on Feb. 2, 1921.She was a resident of Chattanooga in the East Brainerd Community for forty years and was a longtime member of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church. She was a resident of Elmcroft Assisted Living of Hamilton Place for the last 8 years but recently moved to Consulate Health Care where she lived at the time of her death.Mrs. Maddox was preceded in death by her husband Taylor Maddox Jr.She is survived by one son and daughter-in-Law, David M. and Carolyn S. Minnich, of Harrison, Tenn.; two grandsons John E. (Wilma) Minnich, of Carthage, N.Y., and Scott F. Minnich, of Charlotte, N.C.; four great-grandchildren, Heather (Gary) Plouse, of Shepardsville, Ky. Brandy, Devin and Benjamin Minnich all of Bel Aire, Md.There will be no formal visitation at the Funeral Home. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor J.
