Margaret Jean "Peggy" Carmona, loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013.Peggy was born on Aug. 30, 1939, in Jackson, Miss. to Jeanette and James Morring. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1963 with a B.S. in home economics and a masters in Child Development where she met her future husband of 50 years. On May 26, 1963, Peggy married Gildardo Carmona.Peggy, an accomplished teacher, homemaker, seamstress, and cook will be remembered for her graciousness, kind and cheerful nature and wonderfully infectious laugh. An avid reader, Peggy also loved music, the arts and nature - especially the mountains of Tennessee and Mexico. She had a love for all things good, pure and sweet and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.One of Peggys greatest joys was her 63-year membership in Red Bank United Methodist Church. During the 26 years that she and her husband and children lived in Monterrey, Mexico, they were also faithful members of the Union Church of Monterrey.Cherishing her memory are husband, Gildardo "Gil"; father, James Morring; son, David, his wife, Kelly and their daughter Tyler; son, Daniel, his wife, Holly and their daughter, Wren; and brother, David Morring and his daughter, Marika.Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. today in the Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in Red Bank United Methodist Church.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Red Bank United Methodist Church, 3800 Dayton Blvd, Red Bank, TN, 37415, with Rev.
