James Ralph Huggins, 74 of Ooltewah, died on Friday, July 5, 2013.He was the son of the late Erskin and Mary Goodlet Huggins. James was a member of Standifer Gap SDA church, where he served as Head Elder, Pathfinder Club Leader and on numerous committees and boards with the chuch and school. He was the owner of Jims Small Engine Repair Shop in Ooltewah and was retired from The College Press. James was an extraordinary man, husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was preceded by his wife, Annie Mae Huggins; and sister, Gladys Clark.Survivors include his two sons, Delwin (Sandra) Huggins, McDonald, Tenn., and Delain (Lydia) Huggins, Ooltewah; sister, Kathleen (Garnet) Forrester, Flintstone, Ga.; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 7, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mickey Mallory and Pastor Dwight Herod officiating.Interment will follow in Standifer Gap SDA Church Cemetery.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort to the family and to view the memorial tribute.The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today, July 6, at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.
