Gladys Springfield, 87, of Highway 58, Ooltewah, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013.Gladys was married to the late Paul J. Henry Sr. for 25 years and the late Fred Springfield for 25 years. She was a restaurant owner for over 17 years and was a charter member of Meadowview Baptist Church.She is the daughter of the late J.W. Sr. and Ethel Holmes of the Harrison area.Survivors include one son, Paul J. Henry Jr. and wife, Micki, of Mound, Texas; one daughter, Diane Long and husband, Garland, of Jefferson City, Tenn.; sister, Opal Ford of Harrison; and brother, J.W. Holmes Jr., of Hixson; grandchildren, Richard Henry, of Fort Bragg, N.C., David Henry, of Springdale, Ark., Michael Henry, of Cleveland, Tenn., Marjorie Guerra, of Carthage Tenn., Garland Long III, of Greenville, Tenn., and Daniel Long, of Jeffferson City, Tenn.; also 12 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Al Miller and Dr. Bill Mason officiating and Grandsons serving as active pallbearers and the Gleaners Sunday school class serving as Honorary Pallbearers.Burial will follow in old McDonald Cemetery.Memorial contribution checks may be made to: Williamson Cemetery, 9232 Birchwood Pike, Harrison TN 37341.The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.You may visit our guestbook at by the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home, 3913 Webb Road. 622-3171.
