Brenda Kay Purdy Collins, 70, of Hixson, died Friday, July 12, 2013 in a local hospital.Brenda was born in Knoxville, Tenn., but had lived in Chattanooga for the past 41 years. She was a member of Norwood Baptist Church in Oliver Springs, Tenn. She was a retired floral designer with Bi-Lo Floral department. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Reba Purdy and was also preceded in death by two brothers, James and Joseph Purdy.Survivors include her husband, John R. Collins, Sr.; two sons, John R. (Julie Baldwin) Collins, Jr., and William H.
