Dorothy "Dot" Dean Lynn Roelse, 83, lifelong resident of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013.She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Dot was a talented porcelain doll maker, her gift to the world was her magic fingers that made everything around her beautiful. She loved and protected everyone close and dear to her and loved her children and grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Dennis Gorrell; parents, Clinton and Beulah Lynn; brothers, Gene and Bill Lynn; sisters, Dola Ann French, Grace Branum and Carolyn Hays.Survivors include her husband, Edwin Roelse; daughter, Lesa Jane Stepp, of Chattanooga; son, Ray C. Gorrell, of Chattanooga; granddaughter, Sarah Stepp; grandson, Andrew (Emily) Gorrell; great-grandchildren, Harlan and William Gorrell; sisters, Judy Franko and Linda Hope, both of Dallas, Texas and Jane Mitchell, of Louisville, Ky. and Irene Lindsey, of Chattanooga; brother, Clint Lynn, of Mississippi; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Deacon Tom Jenkins officiating.Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.Visit to share condolences.Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, 877-3524.
