June Frances Jones, 81, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, Nov. 4, 2013. She was born June 24, 1932 in Blowing Springs, Ga., to the late William Dot and Etta Anderson. She accepted Christ at an early age and was of the Baptist faith. She was a private housekeeper of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel K. Frierson of Lookout Mountain, where she later retired. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Lee Jones; brother, Clarence Anderson; sisters, Romeo Anderson, Easter Stevens, Mary Wills and Cora B. Dawson; sons, Anthony and Michael Jones; grandsons, Victor Maurice Ellis Jr. and Timothy Lamar Brewer II. Survivors include children, Ronald, Charles Edward (Sandra), Debbie Jones-Ellis, Charles (Boney) Jones, Angelia (Timothy) Brewer, all of Chattanooga; Francis (Patrice) Jones, of Houston, Texas; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren and four great-great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ophelia Harris; sisters-in-law, Christine Turner, Lucille Floyd, Magaline Jones and Lillie Ruth Smith; brothers-in-law, Robert Jones and Robert Floyd; countless nieces, nephews, cousins; and a ton of friends; best friends, Erma Ruth Choice, Velma Hinton, Jackie Pace, Doris Foote and Gracie Bryson; special friends, Colleen Canion, Lois Traylor and Evelyn Woods. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, in the chapel. Interment in Forest Hills Cemetery. The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 67 p.m. this evening at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
