Patricia Ann Carter, 62, of Chattanooga, was transitioned from this life on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013.She was a loving mother, friend, and family member. She was a graduate of Riverside High School and attended Knoxville College.She was preceded in death by her father, Lerman Carter; and mother, Velma Carter.She leaves to cherish her precious memories: one son, Juma A. Hollingsworth, Chattanooga; one daughter, Brittany Patrice Carter, of Nashville; two grandchildren, Jumar J. Hollingsworth and Kiarra Michelle Margaret Carter; one sister, Linda Carter Finch (Charles); and one brother, Rev. Anthony G. Carter; two sisters-in-law, Mona Carter-Lamberg, and Glenda Carter; two aunts, Annie Mae Fletcher and Ernestine Milam; three uncles, Frank (Leonia) Milam, of Paterson, N.J., Billy (Shirley) Milam, of Kansas City, Mo., and Howard Freeman, of Chattanooga; lifelong friend, Jesse Hollingsworth; five nieces, LaChanda, Keisha, Monique, Kailan, Keni and Kendria; three nephews, Christopher, Ian and Kenneth Jr.; special friend, William Donahue; several cousins, Doris Fletcher, Barbara Fletcher, Zola Thurmond (Michael), Renea Davis, Terry Williams, Darrell Freeman (Gloria), Michael Williams (Brooke), and Darryl and Frank Milam Jr.; one god-brother Kenneth Bentley; several great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.Homegoing services will be at 1 p.m. today in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Anthony G. Carter as the eulogist.Burial: Greenwood Cemetery.
