DAYTON Charles Ray Reynolds, 73, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at Erlanger in Chattanooga. He was born May 17, 1940 in Kentucky to the late Charles and Charlyne Gill Reynolds. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Hamby.A resident of Dayton most of his life, he was a graduate of Rhea Central High School Class of 1959. He was employed by the Oster Corporation and was a purchasing agent for Goodman Co. He was chairman of the Dayton Planning Commission and the B.Z.A. for over 30 years. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Dayton Golf and Country Club.He is survived by his wife of 25 years Shirley (Holloway) Reynolds, of Soddy-Daisy; sons, Charles Ray Reynolds II and Mark (Crickett) Smith, both of Dayton and Robert (Tammie) Smith, of Pikeville; his sister, JoAnn (the late Bill) Morgan, of Spring City; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Funeral services for Charles Ray will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
