Marion Louise Hanson Crumbley, of Signal Mountain, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013. She was 87 years old.Marion was born in Atlanta, and has been a longtime resident of the Signal Mountain area. She was a charter member of Signal Crest United Methodist Church and member of the Parks Sunday School Class. Marion was a 50 years member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Rhodes Hanson and Mary Beatrice Durden; her brothers, Thomas W. Hanson, Emmett A. Hanson, George W. Hanson, Harold C. Hanson and Howard G. Hanson; sister, Florence E. Smith.Marion is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, James W. Crumbley; sons, Thomas N. (Jarien) Crumbley, MD, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and William R. Crumbley, MD, of Tampa, Fla.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sister, Martha F. Scott, of Conyers, Ga.; many nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the North Chapel.A celebration of life service will be held for Marion at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Signal Crest United Methodist Church, 1005 Ridgeway Ave, Signal Mountain, with Dr. Mark Gooden officiating.
