Marianne Dougla

s Marianne Westall Douglas, 83, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013. She was a world traveler having visited all seven continents. She was also an avid runner and member of the Chattanooga Track Club. She was able to combine these two loves by finishing the Millennium Marathon in New Zealand on January 1, 2000. She was active to the end, enjoying the friendship and love of her Ladies who Lunch group. She had been a deacon at Rivermont Presbyterian Church. Marianne is survived by her daughters, Lee Finley, of Camino, Calif.; and daughter, Gale Finley, of Decatur, Ga.; son, States R. Finley III and wife, Denise, of Stone Mountain, Ga.; son, Bret Douglas, of Chattanooga; and six grandchildren, Annie, Grace, Wes, Luis, Dempsey and Edward. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Rivermont Presbyterian Church with Rev. Carol Howard Merritt officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Columbia, Tenn., at noon CST Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, 877-3524.
