Stranded vehicles litter the roadway Saturday along Route 25 in Lake Grove, N.Y. Many people abandoned their vehicles along Long Island roadways after they became stuck in the rapidly falling snow. Frist responders rescued a number of people from stranded cars, some having spent the night in frigid temperatures.
