Mark Making artists work on the "We Shall Not Be Moved" mural at their studio in North Chattanooga on Friday. The artists are (from left) Thomas Perry and Frances McDonald, both on scaffolding; Mia Hansford, underneath scaffolding; Amanda Brazier, kneeling, and Casey Brock. The mural, which depicts the Chattanooga sit-in demonstrations of the 1960s, will be placed on the side of Champy's Fried Chicken this summer. Mark Making sought input from several local schools and organizations, including the Howard School, the STEM school, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and the Urban League, as inspiration for the artwork.
