It is long overdue for marijuana to be legalized here in Tennessee and in many other states for medical purposes. I have several TBI's and a seizure disorder resulting from them and have suffered now for 20 years. The harsh medications I've had to take and that haven't worked, that have deteriorated my teeth, caused horrible side effects over the years are far and away more dangerous than marijuana. My mother suffered nearly died from breast cancer in the late 80's and if not for the beneficial effects of this plant she would not have been able to sleep, eat, reduce pain, or remain alive. She is only alive today because of it, but had to risk getting it illegally because of backwards archaic laws. It is one of the few things many of us find helpful when all other avenues fail us. I certainly don't condone use or abuse of ANY DRUG by ANYONE especially a minor! Overuse or consumption simply for that purpose has no place medically and while I don't believe you can overdose on it and can still become a dangerous substance as can alcohol or Tylenol when used improperly. Still, the time to revisit this topic without bias has past and the time to embrace not only medical fact, but honor the peoples wishes is long overdue...
