Saddle Ridge School in Walker County, Ga., opens the school to the public Tuesday.
Steve Miller loads signs and red kettles into the back of a van, passes out some gloves and warm hats to the waiting bell ringers and drives them to their posts. By Christmas, they will number nearly 100 in the region. The ringers come from all walks of life. Some are homeless, some are coming out of homelessness, some fight addictions and some are volunteers.
