Why was the officer fired if the internal investigation is still ongoing? There seems to be alot of problems at the sheriff's office these days. Where is Sheriff Ruth to talk about this? I am not at all impressed with the way he is handling the affairs at that office.
With all the back and forth regarding State Rep. Eric Watson and Sheriff Jim Ruth I am not sure where the truth the lies-probably somewhere in the middle. But what I do know is there should be time sheets for Mr. Watson and also a record in Nashville of when he was in attendance so there is really no way to distort this -UNLESS he was allowed to lie on his timesheet. Now to the point of Mr. Watson stating there has never been improporieties in his professional career, just pull his personnel file at the sheriff's office-which is also public record to verify any previous reprimands/or wrongdoings. Funny how Sheriff Ruth was Mr. Watson's immediate supervisor prior to his election and knew that Mr. Watson was a state rep. when he promoted him to captain, therefore he know how much time he was spent in Nashville. Was he working his full time under then Capt. Ruth or was he allowed to slide and only now that Mr. Watson has made claims to run for sheriff in the next election is this a problem.
