We have too many private schools. That is the problem. Grace Academy? Silverdale? When I was growing up, Silverdale was a jail. Boyd Buch? Tenn. Temple? Chatt. Christian? Others like Hamilton Heights and Berean? And of course the big privates. Why do we have all these privates? It's because the publics suck. It is our own fault.
Yes, Signal Mtn HS was a waste of money and completely unnecessary. East Ham was probably actually needed. Sale Creek isn't hurting anybody or our area's athletic fortunes. The problem, though, isn't too many public schools.
Hey, at least spell her name right. It is missy crutchfield. Lower case "m" and "c." Anybody remember those days? She is a joke. Thanks to the TFP for this editorial.
Much truth can be found on almost all of the posts above, both positive and negative.
I really don't see how anyone, whether you like Chattanooga or not, can debate that it is a beautifully situated city.
What is interesting is that it appeals to some transplants while others hate it. In that regard, we are not any different than any other city in the world. Every city in the world has good points and bad points.
However, the article was intended to be about outdoor activities and we won the voting handily. I don't see how you can argue with that, either.
Weston knows he won't win this time. And probably not the next time or the next. But he can afford to keep running, and he knows eventually he will win. Just like his dad did. Because voters are stupid. They really are. Weston knows this.
By the way, shame on Zach for letting him do this. Surely if he'd advised against this, Weston would have listened.

"Maybe, but all-time UTC great Nick Morken -- who was a freshman during Reynolds' first season on the job -- doesn't think so."
Morken was never a freshman at UTC. He was a JUCO transfer.
