Spy- Brady had similar numbers as last night - (the 2 int) in his first Super Bowl, a game in which he was somehow MVP. His D was gashed for 300+ first half yards however blame goes to off line? How long must he 'suck' before he retires?

5- Unfortunately Phil's best shots over the weekend were the verbal kind. Eventually the dinosaurs at the PGA headquarters will sort this all out and come to the conclusion that it was all Tiger Woods fault.

5- I think Bill Simmons writes some of the best stuff on sports out there, but his 3wk ban is justified. Outright calling Goodell a liar, come on. Putting all this outrage on Goodell just reeks of lazy journalism at this point.

Prior commissioners dealt with heavy issues like player strikes, tv contracts and expansion and over time got those right. Goodell has dealt with player safety, officials striking and now this. He will get this done too.

Mailbag: Is a large portion of the never ending slurping of Jeter due to the fact he played in NY? If he'd played in an outpost like Milwaukee or KC or even Pitt would he just be Robin Yount/G Brett part 2?

5- Hard to believe that Tiger Woods has only been on 1 winning Ryder Cup Team. In fact only Phil has more points lost. Still without him this event lacks any sizzle, buzz or must watch element. Perhaps this team will bond somehow and produce a miracle.

Mailbag: Is the QB sack the most overrated stat in football? No change of possession, maybe not even a loss of yardage. Not unlike a run for no gain. If you manage 10 or so a year it can earn you $$$ but rarely crucial to the outcome.

5- The K St kicker must have had AU -9.. The Palmer/Pollack combo was brutal.

What's your call on Sea-Den Sunday? Welker is playing.

9er-- Not just this year Russ always gets a pass after losing winnable games. In his post game comments and on press row this week the 'we just have to win a game' and 'we just have to play and coach better' statements come across as a guy in over his head. Staggering talent with incompetent coaching and stale game plans. A crappy menu that's for the birds.

5-If you really have Detroit #3 on your power list I'd love to be your bookie this year.

Mailbag: At what point do you start to gather your vulchers over Russ Huesman. What you always said about C. Martin in Knoxville was his team grossly underachieved. He couldn't recruit and you didn't like his in-game decisions and adjustments. I'm not certain if you signed any patition but you certainly were out front beating the drum for his ouster.

In year 6 Russ is the poster child for this profile.

5- So 9 former FBS athletes now play for UTC's next opponent? Not good, 0-2 looks likely.

Lake Johnson is a big get, dude could have gone anywhere great for the home team!

5- Ryder Cup: Captain Tom was his at his melodramatic best for the cheesy selection show. His picks were worse. Put a max limit at 1 the times a player can be selected to the roster, just take whoever the next 3 are. They earned it (sorta). Buddy system sux. If Tiger no longer intimidates anyone, this US team really scares no one.

Apparently Wes Welker takes hits in the offseason too..
