This article fails to mention the obvious:

The population in impoverished areas increased due to immigration. Take a drive down Main Street and look at all the Hispanic businesses and people.

This report does not mean what you people think it means, and there is certainly an agenda behind it.

Being placed in the stocks in the middle of town for a few months should take care of her addiction problems.

First of all, we didn't bring them with us.

You didn't bring your desires/needs or car(s) with you when you moved to Hixson/Soddy-Daisy? Really?

Of course you did, and those things added to the commercialization and traffic tie-ups that you now experience, and they will only get worse. If you truly want to avoid commercialization and traffic-tie ups your only option is to live on a self sustaining farm.

I challenge you to do so.

Most of us in the Hixson/Soddy Daisy area moved out here to get away from the commercialization and traffic tie-ups that came upon the areas around Hamilton Place.

Except, the problems: you brought commercialization and traffic tie-ups with you. If you wanted Hixson and Soddy-Daisy to remain commercial and traffic-free then you should have stayed where you were.

As for this development, typical American sprawl. Not only should this not be approved, but no other rezoning, building permit, or public dollar should be issued or spent north of Access Rd/Ashland Terrace, east of Missionary Ridge, or west of Lookout Mountain. If you're not willing to go with draconian restrictions, then you have no logical reason to oppose this development.around Hamilton Place.

Take the 16 year old who assaulted the deaf man and put him in the stocks in the city square and make him stay there all month. With some luck, he'll be dead from exposure to the elements and night time assaults by the end of his sentence. If he lives, then he will have learned a very valuable lesson, and very well may be deaf himself.

The Bill of Rights is a Liberal document, and there is not "right" from "cruel and unusual punishment".

The Bishop of Knoxville deserves some answers from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department on why it took longer to establish a cause of death than it did to bury Mr Hennen. Also, why is this not being ruled a suicide? Were Catholics in the diocese abused by a powerful clan and a corrupt sheriff's department? So it seems.
