Simple fix. Allow all the workers to carry their guns into work and be armed at all times, then when some nut job comes in shooting someone can take him out before he gets to far. Simple common sense, you can't get rid of the guns and the police can't get there quick enough to protect you so you have to take care of yourself. Duh.
