DaytonDarwin, you continue to show your contemptive ignorance and arrogance regarding the Bible. But then, someone who worships his/her own abilities and human potential, believes he/she has the exclusive right to be judge and jury on all matters of the heart. That too is arrogance which will one day come to the end of its campfire stories and superior Aesop's fabilic statements. Then, having unbelieved in anything beyond this life, you will find out what you might have paid more attention to. By the way, please bear in mind in days to come, it it Your Perspective which will one day lead to yours and others being unable to write in to an opinion page even if you side with whomever is calling the shots. But feel free to keep on unbelieving. I'll take the Bible campfire stories any day and at least attempt to hold onto hope beyond this life and what if obviously coming because of how evolved and progressive we have become.

Yeah when it is certain persons ie of liberal bent and they rant or even lie and berate others, there is silence. But let something not of the ilk of liberals(who are really just leftist not really liberal), then here it comes. All the people who condemn Paula Deen for something said years ago SHAME ON YOU! SHAME ON ALL OF YOU! That god-aweful word is used frequently among certain groups as if it is cute. It is not.If it is so terrible, it should never be used at all by anyone. But who goes after that other contingent, you so called libs? I thought so, more silence. The ones who dismissed Mrs. Deen, whom I am no fan of by the way, would defend to the gill their own people and cry for forgiveness and leniency if it was someone who leaned their way. What a messed up world we live in. If the insanity is not checked and soon....well let's just wait and see on that one. And this is an example of a evolved society?

Keep on with your unbelief DarwinDayton. There were many people who experienced a real resurrection and were willing to die rather than deny it. Go read about the Roman Empire's persecution of...dare I even mention that unpopular word Christians...well I just did. It was not until people started worshiping themselves, reason, and all the scientific stuff, some of which has never been proven, that so much dispute arose over the Christian faith. For any objective observer, it takes as much, if not more faith, to believe the THEORY of Evolution in its entirety as it does to believe the non-CNN confirmed beliefs of Christianity. But you keep on notbelieving in anything but yourself and human potential. One day, sadly, you will find where that leads. You have that freedom. But watch YOUR judgmentalism in that last paragraph. OH wait...I am sure you will blame that on the Christians too just like Nero convinced the Roman people the Christians set fire to the city during his reign!(WINK)

So Dennis Brown, am I to conclude that your so called "real people" do not have opinions? What planet do you live on? Not all history is precise or accurate. Otherwise, the progressives would not feel they have to revise and rewrite. Finally, not all who thump/read the Bible are insecure nor try to push their beliefs on others. Just because some tend to write in or respond on editorial pages no right is given to claim all who hold to the truth of the Bible are mean, intolerant, bigoted. In fact, if you look objectively at history, you find many were emprisoned, beaten, and killed because they held to biblical truths. None of them pushed their beliefs on others. But they certainly held firmly to them. But I suppose you would like to pick and choose which History and Real People you have confidence in.

Well Manchester Hate Capital because they...shared their opinions huh. If you want to see Hate Capitals, go to lands where the peace-loving advocates of a certain religion are in charge and share an opinion different to theirs. Admittedly, it is sad to read about the shout down and lack of respect shown by Coffey County residents at the "whatever" sensitivity meeting that was held. But to call it the Hate Capital of Tennessee, come on now.

I like your position Bill Laudeman. Obviously the Unfaith man who comes on here wants you to put faith in him and the Nothing. SUPERstitious, huh, yeah you got a complete right to believe that and anyone else, me included, has a right to disagree with you. Go on Unbelieving. I would be very curious to see what Superstitious gibberish you secretly embrace. But then You and Humanity, Science etc. have all the answers. And to even suggest that the average local church is comparible to the Benny Hinns etc. shows that your advance intellect is informed/misinformed by a sociey trying to wipe out certain religions. But keep it going. You have a right. I just wonder what will happen when your Unbelief time on earth is complete. But then you also have a right to say that's none of my business. But I still have a right to bring it up, at least I do have that right at this time.

To Mr. Gary Hayes...I think for the most part, the length it takes to become a US citizen the right way, is what people would like to see changed. But you have a point to ponder about why there seems to be a prevailing attitude to let everyone, even illegal persons just automatically become citizens. The debate will go on and be framed politically which will assure it will not be properly dealt with. Meanwhile, border states have to watch as illegal persons, many who are dangerous, pour onto their ground.

There is actually a final series beginning today? Oh yeah basketbal, I can barely spell NBA. Good luck to the...whomevers.

Walked off after the first set. She chose to do it and, like so much of our society today, politics and sports alike, blamed someone/something else. Why is anyone really surprised? Quitters never win and Winners never Quit, I heard somewhere.

Yeah good old Tiger, back up there. He wins, he gets the no. 1 ranking and rakes in all the money. I am not sure what this says about us as a nation. But Life-success is a whole lot more than making the most money or even making a whole lot when it comes right down to it. 4give, 4get 4k over the big Dough, TIGER IS BACK..growwwl!

Has anyone else suggested the NCAA investigate those APR scales which "weighed" the Alabama and Louisville athletes? I am sure not suggesting it NO SIR EEEEEE!

There we go again, being reminded of how the Unbelievers have to not only defend themselves but point out how utterly ridiculous anyone might be who would love to have the possibility than when this life is completed and you go to the grave, there might just be more. As if that is evil, come on now. Then, the Unbelievers, who as was pointed out should be secure in their Unbelief, stage attacks on ones who just want to have a faith, proclaim a faith, and offer it to any others who are not interested. Now personally, I am not interested in the perspective of Unbelief, not at all. But I will not go on tirade after tirade belittling those who choose to live their lives, suffer and then plan to just die and go back to the ground. As for Roger Bartmess' letter, you are right on. As for the Annibelleache response, obviously you just don't get the danger of the word IRS and TARGET. It would be just as bad for the same type action to be taken and proven(not some revision of history)if leftist organizations were TARGETED. It seems in the current political climate, certain limits on liberties of certain people is okay. The IRS SHOULD exist to gather taxes and nothing else. Who the organizations and individuals support politically is none of the IRS' business period. I'll bet the ones acting as if this is no big deal would cry TO THE SUPREME COURT if their pet groups were being TARGETED.
