Tom Baker, I see you are falling right in with the usual pundits. Anyone who does not see the differences is just looking the wrong way. But go on and keep it out there. The slant of the media keeps on slanting and slanting and slanting. I can only hope all your leftists will live long enough to see what that type of leaning does to this nation. As for killing innocents, it is atrocious. But then, we have to be understanding of those guys who flew airplanes into US buildings and all the innocent lives they took. They have no responsibility because the comparison of Hitler with the Bush library is justified in some people's eyes. If you had had a loved on live through the Hitler Hell you might be a little more sensitive when it is brought up in a political cartoon. But I am guessing you think Hitler was Reagan's and Bush's fault too.
No and No on horsing around; that's the wrong track for me but then the Kings seem to love it(the sport of kings).
Tebow and President Obama teaming up; now that may be the biggest sports joke ever...Personally, I hope he gets another chance in the NFL and am not at all surprised at the Jets(who will get their due reward)leaving him hanging in the wind. It is still a stretch in my estimation for him to be an elite NFL QB. Yeah, yeah, I saw the pass against the Steelers in that playoff game. But he is a really good person deserving better than the Jets or anything the White House Bunch might do for him.
I wish UTC all the best but have no idea who can help them the most. That is for some other pundits. I have to agree if Tyler Summit is hired just for his name...well we have no idea how he would work out. And by the way, if he doesn't, would his name make it harder to admit, it wasn't working?
NBA playoffs, MVP; what are those? NBA...NoBodyAround maybe...When does College football return?
Movies? Who can afford them in these tough economic times? VW is laying off for crying out loud!!! Be careful in the rain, it seems to just keep on coming down. CCC says "And I wonder, still I wonder, who'll stop the rain?????
annibelle, I am now thoroughly confused. You gleefully share your disdain for anything which conflicts with your views ie calling anything from right of center hate, lies, misinformation; but yet you take the time to comment on an innane letter from someone who takes a different view from yours. You are SO informed I might find it hard to believe you "don't look at Drew's Views, etc..."
There is plenty of misinformation, half-truth, and deception from both sides of the political spectrum. But that never seems to matter when the junk is coming from the perspective we support. But you go on and disregard all that does not line up with your so called open way.
While I agree with Mr. Glen Norfleet on media treatment of Congressman Desjarlais, I do take exception to the use or misuse of the woman caught in adultery in response and a "no one has a right to throw stones at others"perspective. That woman was about to be literally killed. Congressman Desjarlais was only suffering politically. There is a Huge difference. Mr. Norfleet is right in that the slanted media gladly excuse, expound and do all manner to dismiss past indiscretions of "their" candidates even when it is known as being recurring. The point is, if you go into politics, you can expect to be exposed. If you are not on the preferred side of media slant, you will be hammered over and over again. Yes, Congressman Desjarlais does deserve forgiveness and respect but it is a principle of life that what we do follows us even when we repent and make amends. That is a tough rule to live with.
Wow Anniebelle, you hit the nail on the head with the last four words you posted, "this country's going down the drain." If we become a socialist nation we are at the bottom of the drain. How many of the so called "successful" experiments in socialism began as this nation? I don't think any of them and the full sense of their "success" or lack thereof, is yet to be seen. I have no qualm with your statement about the pay of football coaches, I would merely add entertainers and other basically non-contributors to the good of the country. But the free for all education would be worse than Mr. Miller's description using the word nightmare.
No Kemmer Anderson, the National Guard unit is in no way a Militia. Sorry, nice try but go another route please, you challenge our intelligence. And if you question it, you show your arrogance.
That is not a funny cartoon. The back and forth drivel on here could be funny but...too much seriousness among the banter and that is almost as dangerous as the missle capability of North Korea.
anniebelle...you just don't get it do you? Only elites who pay the outrageous costs for private school get the best education. And if you or anyone else think the way the public school system is going it will ever be "best education", please at least consider rethinking. We have all the resources and the funding needed to be the best educational system in the world. But...we have agendas which impede actual academic learning and try to reinforce social perspectives rather than be about the business of teaching. Add to that, taking away the possibility of disciplining students on a level to get their attention and....well the "best" is somewhere else. Why do I write this? My wife is a public school teacher and can attest to all I previously posted and much much more. But no, we don't want vouchers. We want the socalled best education to be in public schools. That fell by the wayside a long long time ago.
