I agree that the 13 team schedule is the PITA that everyone is dreading for next year, but using the mileage excuse is not a very valid excuse, either. Texas A&M travels FARTHER to play Iowa State (949 miles) than it would agaisnt every other team in the SEC except SC, which is 1049 miles from College Station. Heck, Gainesville is closer to A&M than ISU is/was for us. Want some other "perspective"? Lubbock is only 120 mi closer to A&M than Oxford, MS... and it's in the SAME state as A&M! Bottomline, distance is non-issue.
