WTF? All I can say about this endorsement is, it certainly helps Obama get re-elected -- so I guess this is a by-proxy endorsement of Obama. "What Thick Fool" came up with this one?
This column MUST be a late April Fools joke. This is the most nescient and dullard droll I have seen on any Web site in regard to 2A. Congratulations!
@JerrodSmith -- I am quite sure that Mike Mullen (now retired JCoS) would be mortified to know you invoked his words in support of Scottie Mayfield -- the latter having only the most topical understanding of constitutional principles and, thus, certainly unprepared to uphold them. Adm. Mullen served our nation with honor, according to his oath. You have sullied his name by mentioning it in the context of your endorsement. Scottie is an affable guy, but has repeatedly established himself to be precisely what Mr. Decosimo wrote: "inarticulate, uninformed and without an agenda." This opinion piece is nothing more than a regurgitation of Obama's political pandering and is arguably wrong on every count. For those of us who still respect the Rule of Law, our Constitution's Tenth Amendment puts to rest Arizona's rights to set and enforce its state laws, and as for "racial profiling," that claim is nothing more than race card bait. Oh, and Arizona intends to enforce laws that are already enumerated in federal law, just that the Left does not want the federal laws enforced. But then, given that most of Obama's constituents are little more than sycophantic lemmings, having been sufficiently dumbed down in our government-run education institutions, they have no concept of the notion of Rule of Law...nor does the Times editorial writer.
