Late from last week, but since Clubber Lang is brought up this week, he has one of my top underrated quotes of all time. After being asked his prediction before fight number one, he resondes, "Prediction?...PAAAIIIINNNNN!" It's bone chilling.
I might take my swing at the folks trying tyring to forclose on the Field of Dreams. Speaking of Field of Dreams, it has another of my favorite quotes, "Yeah, Ty Cobb wanted to play, but none of us liked the SOB when he was alive so we told him to STICK ITT (cackle, cackle, cackle)."
Re: Thursday night games. Weren't we talking a few weeks ago about how the Mocs needed more Thursday night games? I guess there's room for HS too, but I'd be inclined to ask for Mocs games on Thursday as a priority.
Stewwie - Trampoline bounce place, Chattanooga Brewing and Chattanooga Whiskey will all have built out places within a few blocks from Finley in the next 18 months. Things are looking up for the surrounding area, Parkway Towers needs a face lift, the Chicken Plant smell will be hard to get rid of.
Worth noting about Ichiro - As far as I know, he is the only man in MLB (all pro sports unconfirmed, but possible) with his first name on the back of his jersey. He may stand alone as far as one namers go.
Ray Allen also quieted one of the biggest stories of the finals (Green's 3s) and at the same time reminded folks he is the most prolific 3 point shooter of all time.
If I were Ray I'd be more than a little mad the story of the finals up to that point was Danny Green's 3-point shooting. If the Heat win in 7, very few remember DG's performance, while everyone remembers Ray Allen's one 3.
My run was good. Sir 5@10, looks like you got me if Johnson can win this thing. That said, I know you have a best of preps ticket already. What cha gonna do?
Would you be so kind as to post the final US Open entries when you have a moment?
Stewwie, sounds like you're ready to go 2000's softball on us...just starting with a 2-1 count. Let's call foul balls with 2 strikes a K too. That'd help Struggla in the sense some others in baseball might get near his K total.
Since John Candy was discussed yesterday, I feel a Cool Runnings reference is necessary.
Not Rushmore, but maybe worth a mention is Mark Walhberg - The Fighter (in my top 5), Basketball Diaries, and Boogie Nights.
Mr. 10 Ring -
I have a US Open Entry for HardCopy who is having technical difficulties with the login.
Round 1 - Oosthuizen
Round 4 - McDowell
Lots of great input on the actors. Love the Prior/Wilder combo. See No Evil, Hear No Evil is one of my all time favorites.
Vince Vaughn should be considered for the top 10. He's so money in Swingers and Wedding Crashers is not too shabby.
Speaking of not too shabby, Sandler is top 10 as well, possibly sneaking into the top 5, although I don't know exactly where. Billy, Deeds, Gilmore, et al.
"Stop staring at me swann."
Uggla stuck out again.
Gimme Schwartzel after Round 1 and Dustin Johnson for the win.
