The most standard definition of a cult among evangelical Christians is any doctrine that deviates on the Person and deity of Jesus Christ. He is the very crux of Christianity. People may disagree on matters of secondary importance that do not affect one's eternal salvation, but a departure on the Person of Christ represents an attack on the very core teaching re: salvation. This is the standard by which I was describing Mormonism as being a "cult." Of course, the word cult may have many meanings, but my point had to do with whether Mormonism is truly Christian. If you take the time to do the research, you will agree with me on this point.
I don't believe I said that Obama is a Muslim; I said that he is not a Christian, and I am basing this on a number of reasons that allign with Holy Scripture. People may confess to be Christians, but a simple confession is not proof. I cited the words of Jesus in Matt. 7:21-23 as one proof.
Romney's claim to be Christian is generally argued by Mormons on the fact that their Church carries the name of Jesus Christ. That is no more proof than that many other heretics claimed to be Christian. "Search the Scriptures," sir, and you will reach a more studied and accurate definition of what a Christian is.
