I'm not sure how Food Lion found out what customers wanted. I called the customer service hot line to complain about a sitution at my local Food Lion that was based upon a decision the company made. The representative told me it would be logged as a complaint against the store manager who is EXCELLENT!!! In addition if they want me back in the stores they need to get rid of the items at the end of the check out belt. A lot of us want to place bread, eggs, etc there until other items are taken out of the cart so they will not be crushed. That is not possible if there is colored spun sugar on the end. Also, since they removed the coffee grinder we have been going to BiLO every time we need coffee. When we are there we always purchase other items. I guess Food Lion has lost at least $3,000 annually of our dollars since they made that change. I wonder how many other customers do that? If they want to grind their own coffee I guarantee they are purchasing other items when they go to the other store. Finally, it seems that Food Lion has cut the total hours that managers can have each week. There is no need to say what that does to customer service. Oh, once again, don't call customer service. They will log yet another complaint against the excellent store manager.

Lynching was done for generations, but it was stopped. This is a terrible sport.

Lambert and Sewell do not know what they are doing and Branam should have never taken the position. He said he would do it if nobody else would. I personally spoke to Gravitt and Brenneman and they both said they would serve.

Also, I wonder how LIfe Care is going to feel after they have committed to spending a substantial amount of money to expand their facility if gaudy fireworks stores are opened just across the road. Who is going to be allowed to open these facilities? Can you say "kick back?"

Roto Rooter came to our house, charged over $100 and couldn't fix the problem because it was at the junction to the sewer system. Only after we called WWTA did we find they were not to do the work until the WWTA came. Since they are not authorized to do work in my area they should have never answered the call. So, nothing the WWTA could make me think any worse about Roto Rooter. They are a business with no integrity and should have been fined for doing work in an area they are not authorized to come to.

I wonder how many of the children on Larry Sewell's school bus route are using the free lunch program because their parents are hardly making ends meet? Perhaps they should come to the next meeting and see the car Mr. Anderson drives from his home on the mountain. Mr. Lambert says this is not Mr. Anderson's fault. No Mr. Lambert, is is your fault. You sat on the council while all of these funds were being paid. East Ridge deserves what it gets. Members on the council who have never run a business before and don't even know where to start.

I've had members of the church that Brent Lambert attends ask me to give him a chance. Well, I gave him a chance and he insisted on appointing a member to the council that cannot attend because he is at his second home in Florida, he did not want to give the fire and police a raise and has now given that extra money to an attorney that charges for bathroom breaks.

The people of East Ridge had an opportunity to vote for Marc Gravitt but they chose to put Larry Sewell back in office and elect Brent Lambert as the new mayor. If the Country Music Channel will bring back the Redneck Wedding Show maybe East Ridge can get a few episodes for weddings held at the new building.

Wonderful. I wish them the best. My mother dropped out of school in the eleventh grade to help her parents support her family. She received her GED in 1972 at the age of 53 and it changed her life. She was able to get a good job in an office and worked there until she died in 1992.

I know a few TVA employees and all of them are ardent Tea Party members. Aren't they for smaller government? I guess it doesn't matter when it is their benefits that are on the line. Everybody else has lost similar retirement programs. TVA Tea Party members just want to raise my electric bill to support them. Put your retirements where your mouths are.
