State government was closed in Nashville and the Legislature did not meet. There is a silver lining for most of us.

Humphrey, you don't deny one of you ran a red light? Musicman, what is your basis for it being illegal to be cited for a moving violation by other than an officer? A new state law? You are guilty until you prove yourself innocent on any traffic ticket. I love a story from DC about a guy who got a $50 ticket with the picture of his car running a red light. He sent back a picture of $50 for the fine. He got a new picture from the city of a pair of handcuffs. He sent a check. They do appear to reduce accidents.

Is a law requiring the declaration of a "Day of Prayer" an establishment of religion? That is the question, the judge says it is, others say it isn't. Can Congress require a day of prayer and, if so, can they require a no prayer day be declared?

Sounds to me like the 'designated driver' will have to go unarmed if this bill passes like this.

Judge shopping is SOP, you wouldn't be serving your client if you didn't shop when you could.

A billion dollar plant and nearly $600 million of taxpayer incentives. How many years will it take to break even? How many years will it take MS to break even on that new vacant Prius plant? No new incentive bidding wars.

I wonder if my buddy will allow it or post not allowing. Right now, he is the only person inside that is known to carry have a piece and the place stays peaceful.
