Dooley's use of the term "New Season" worries me. Does he honestly think that he will be able to hang his hat on wins over NC State, GA State, Akron, Missouri, Vandy (if we win) or Kentucky?
If so, he's more out of touch with the reality of coaching at Tennessee than I thought. If a National Title, 2 SEC Championships, and 5 SEC East Titles can't guarantee job security (see Phillip Fulmer) than Dooley should trade in those orange britches for some fire-engine red ones.
He should be gone already. The only reason he is still here is the timing of hiring a new coach is so critical and there is NOBODY at UT who can stand in as a reasonable interim coach.
