It is essential that future generations of Americans not be burdened with the horrendous debts that Obama and others have run up in the last five years. The federal government has grown to such elephantine proportions that it would do us taxpayers good to have them furloughed for a spell. Why blame the GOP for the impasse? Because that is what Clay's puppet master George Soros tells him to do.
Oh, you mean like George Soros and all the other limousine liberals? Funny how inequality has risen under this current president. When opportunity is squashed and replaced with government handouts, the winners continue to win and the rest of us begin to simmer with resentment. Maybe that is what Obama is hoping for. Come on Clay, why don't you just write "Workers of the World Unite." You are after all a big proponent of communism and a nasty partisan for the forces of evil.
AS Clay would have it, American justice is prostrating itself toward Mecca. Those Guantanamo detainees should have been executed a long time ago and this problem would no longer exist.
agreed! Imagine adults treating adults like adults - free to do what they want so long as they don't hurt anybody but possibly themselves. We have been a nanny state for too long.
To quote Thomas Mann: Tolerance is a crime when applied to evil.
Mr. Bennett is not worthy to hold the door for Baroness Thatcher. Being a member of snooty Left, he knows he can get away with any and all despicable depictions of leaders of Western civilization. What a pathetic waste of talent is Mr. Bennett. Can't somewhere like Berkeley California take this clown so we needn't be subjected to his ravings every time we open the paper? I shudder to think how he would have demonized the passing of Winston Churchill. Mr. Bennett, you are a piece of trash not worthy even to be spit upon! Nor would I piss on you if you were on fire.
If Clay were anything but a hack, he would put "Plugs" Biden's seal on the shells. After all, our pathetic vice president recommended homeowners own a shotgun. He told us to through the door when an intruder comes calling.
Robin's article is quite accurate and her daughter's courage is commendable. China's past was a textbook case to demonstrate the failed policies of collectivism. During the 1950's, 60's and 70's, China went backwards with their sincere attempt to create true Communism. Seeing the error of their ways, China today is more self-reliant and capitalistic than the US.
Thirty years ago Chinese citizens used ration coupons to obtain food and waited months or years for their turn to buy a bicycle. Today, it is our nation where millions wait for the government-issued food stamps and disability checks.
China's economic growth rate has averaged 10% for the past 30 years - while we just registered -0.1% growth in the last quarter. Globally, the prestige of democracy has faltered with the economic decline of Europe and the U.S. Since we voted for these programs that our bankrupting our nation and stifling private investment, we deserve the bleak future ahead. China will one day buy us for pennies on the dollar because we thought we could have our cake and eat it too.
It is time for Americans to examine the tenets of Confucianism, which has been so successful in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and now China. How can it be, for example that Shanghai, a city of 20 million people does NOT have any slums and virtually no violent crime? Confucian societies stress education, hard work, and family unity.
On its present course, the United States is headed toward mediocrity and second-class status in the world. Hope it won't take something akin to the tens of millions who died in China's ill-fated embrace of Communism for Americans to see the error and terror of our current path.
Clay Bennett is a bigoted idiot.
Why are only Democrats (it seems) opposed to the Voter ID requirement? It is because they know Republicans are not corrupting American democracy with fictitious voters AND because only by cheating can Democrats hope to win the next election? It is hilarious to see African-Americans interviewed who agree that requiring an ID is not unduly harsh and indeed a good measure to stem voter fraud. Diehard Dems know the secret sauce of victory - turn the dead out to vote!
